I was wrong!!!

Last week I skipped and danced and rejoiced over the amazing Fall temps in our part of Texas. But alas, I WAS WRONG. Oh Texas, you never fail to surprise me over and over. Yep it has been over 90°F all week and appears to continue to the end of the month. There are many jokes about the many seasons of Texas. But....

BUT THEY ARE TRUE! See! As per our Texas Storm Chasers!!

So a little corrected menu plan is in store, not to mention, rescheduled outdoor projects. (Ok I guess that was mentioning them). But we will be patient and again await the wonderful season of actual FALL!

Back to Summer Menu??

Ok, not back to totally summer recipes, but meals that can be created without lighting the oven. Such as slow cooker or crockpot recipes? I know they are the same but it seems as if I jump back and forth between the two labels. So bear with me.

Since Texas wishes for it to be summer again, I'll play! Sitting on the front porch this evening sipping on a Spiked Cherry Limeade Vodka. It's a boozy twist on the classic cherry limeade which combines cherry vodka, lime juice, grenadine, and lemon-lime soda for a refreshing cocktail. This grownup recipe is simple, served over ice with lime and moonshine cherry garnishes for a gorgeous adult cherry limeade cocktail.

So everyone, give it up! We are back into summertime again!

"November is the month that tucks summer into bed and pulls the blanket of winter halfway up. Days shorten like candle wicks, leaves surrender in slow-motion applause, and the air smells of woodsmoke and cinnamon. It’s a pause between the blaze of autumn and the hush of snow: crisp, reflective, and quietly preparing for the long night ahead." Author unknown. Things to Do in November Chase the last warm-ish days: Find a trail, kick through leaf piles, or go on a scenic drive to see fall...
